You came to earth one holy night
To save the world from sin.
The world only saw a little child
With a human heart within.
The world only saw you begin to grow
Just as any beautiful babe.
It was for the other ones
You came to earth to save.
The world saw the son of a carpenter
With callouses on His hands.
Your precious hands bore the pain of spikes
To bring good will to man.
The world laughed in pleasure
When they put you in the blackened ground.
Three days later when they looked inside,
You were nowhere to be found.
You are alive!
Glory to God in the highest.
