Pear and Apple Chutney

This is a great addition to any dinner table.  It is especially delicious with chicken or turkey, and as a substitute for cranberry sauce.  The combination of flavors is rich and sweet.

2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped

2 medium pears, peeled and chopped

½ cup apple juice or apple cider

½ cup sugar

1) Place all ingredients in small pan.

2) Bring to boil.  Cover and turn to low heat.

3) Cook for 30 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.

4) Serve warm or at room temperature.
